Drinking Bottled Water Is A No Brainer

Author: Nick Messe
The amount of diseases that are spread due to watercontamination is increasing in recent times to an alarmingextent. Therefore, many people are turning to bottled waterbecause it is pure and safe to use. The bottled water availableis somewhat different than any other form of water. It hasseveral advantages and some of them are discussed blow.In most cases, bottled water is a highly superior drink choicethan the commonly available tap water at your kitchen sink.Although tap water is deemed safe by each municipality, suppliers of bottled water have to go through many additionaltests and regulations. These regulations must either exceed ormeet the rules already formed by EPA. These rules are thenenforced by the United States Food and Drug Administration.Although there has been a lot of discussion about bottled waterbeing just as suspect as the water coming out of your tap, orperhaps even worse, this is not generally the case. A bottledproduct may start out as simple tap water, but what you buy fromthe shelves of your grocery store, or drug store, has gonethrough many more levels of purification.Even water obtained from springs or other natural sources goesthrough these extra treatment and cleaning processes. In otherwords, the net result is that consumers are getting safer andcleaner products than the public supply is usually able tosupply.Sometimes cross-contamination with swimming pools, a tankertruck discharge or other such accidents may happen in governmentrun water utilities. Backflow might also take place when thewater pumped from a public water source is unexpectedly suckedback. However, as far as the bottled water is concerned, theseissues seldom arise. Some of the companies selling bottled waterare also members of the organization known as InternationalBottled Water Association. The rules and regulations of thisorganization are even stricter. Therefore, the members underthis organization have to produce completely safe as well aspure water. To retain their membership, the suppliers agree tosudden, unannounced annual inspection visits to their plants.Apart from the safety issues, bottled water simply has a bettertaste. It is free from chemicals, impurities and when infusedwith oxygen, the taste of this water naturally improves. Whenyou crack open a cold one, remember to check whether the seal ofthe cap is broken or not. If it is broken, water your plantswith it.Some folks point out that plastic bottles are potentially anenvironmental hazard. However, the plastic can be crushed andcompletely recycled. In some parts of the world, there is simplyno better choice than the convenience and safety of bottledwater, after all, drinking wine all the time has itsdisadvantages too.About the author:In South Florida find out more about http://www.waterservice.com">South Florida reverseosmosis.
